THE INCREDIBLE TRUE STORY of Morris Cohen, the East End Jewish boy whose amazing life took him to the Canadian wild west, through the First World War, as a General in the Chinese Army, and finally back to England. He became known as‘Two Gun’ whilst protecting Sun Yat Sen, the father of a united modern China.

His adventures inspired the film ‘The General Dies at Dawn’ starring Gary Cooper.

Along the way he was a child boxer, pickpocket, fairground barker, confidence trickster, card sharp, ranch hand and a member of a Chinese Tong.

Wanstead Players are proud to present this, the true story, in a stage presentation as conceived and directed by Spencer Simmons and written by Liam Rand.

Featuring Jonathan Meyer as 'Morris Cohen' with Edmund Lahiff, Brian Seaton, Jason Markham and Gabi Marona.
